Some people think having your lashes done or getting Botox means pampering. I say it means navigating a circus while looking flawless. Today, I managed to squeeze in a lash fill, a quick Botox touch-up, a mani-pedi, AND somehow vacuum the living room, change a diaper, and cook dinner — all before the kids realized I had left the house for an hour.
Meanwhile, Mark was lovingly “supervising,” which really means he sat in front of his radio and messed around, smoked a pipe, held the baby, and made sure the animals were accounted for — except Moonpie, who decided the spa day was *her* cue for a snack raid in the dog food bowl.
Multitasking isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about survival, laughter, and secretly wondering how you can manage to look human while chaos reigns around you. Oh, and maybe taking a few selfies to prove it, ya right, who has time for that.
Tip: never underestimate the power of a good eyebrow arch while stirring spaghetti and negotiating with a toddler. It’s practically a superpower.
